Some of the geeky music Twitter chat that helped to make my new chord book that little bit better. @jonspanyol and @bobbalob5 are the best brass section a boy could ever ask for.
Have You Got Heart? - Official Chord Book
The official 16-page chord book accompaniment to my 2009 album Have You Got Heart? has arrived, featuring chords, lyrics and tempo guides for all ten songs on the album!
The chord book is suitable for pianists, guitarists, sitarists and ukeleleists alike, or just about any other instrumentalist that you can think of (probably).
The book also contains pointers explaining how some of the more complicated chords can be adapted for less confident players.
Nerdy details:
- cover is printed on heavyweight textured cream card
- inner pages are printed on brilliant white laid (textured) 100 gsm Conqueror paper
- clear, easy to read layout, with black and red print
- each book is designed, printed and hand numbered by yours truly!

‘Have You Got Heart?’ on Made in Chelsea
If you like watching posh people drink champagne and talk about their relationship woes then you might have been enjoying Made in Chelsea on Channel 4 recently. They’ve been kind enough to use a few of my songs in this series, which is very nice of them.
Last night they played ‘Have You Got Heart?’ at the start, my cover of ‘Man on Wire’ by Jose Vanders in the middle, and Jose’s cover of ‘Have You Got Heart?’ at the end. A triple whammy. Episode 7 track listing.
They also played ‘Lullaby’ on episode 1, and ‘If You Haven’t Got Anything to Say’ on episode 3.
You can watch the entire series on 4oD here, and if you want to hear mine and Jose’s covers in their entirety then you can stream them on Bandcamp, or buy the CD at lukeandjose.com. Yah.

Lovely blog from Germany about my Have You Got Heart? video. Google Translate says:
“He could be the English edition of Ben Folds, (even if it annoys that comparison?) And yet he is so much more. It is the autumn mood without depression, he is leaping through the leaves to run, climb over fences, grinning missed a red light. I have fallen, this voice, this feel-good pop. Thank you!”
I love Google Translate.
