Kimbra - Live at KCRW

I love this live session. Kimbra effortlessly blends pop with soul, prog, R&B, jazz, funk and rock. Her performance is nothing short of virtuosic. The band is so tight. 

Groove. Emotion. Kimbra’s hand gestures, like a crazed orchestra conductor, teasing even more out of herself and the band, pushing and pulling the music. Drum fills that make you gasp.

It’s completely excessive, indulgent and over the top. But also tasteful and considered. Original. Authentic. Modern but classic. Unrelentingly inventive.
