Luke Leighfield // Have You Got Heart? // Part One
Last Sunday I spent the whole day with a group of great friends assisting Duncan Howsley and Charlotte Knight film Luke Leighfield’s new video for his killer track, Have You Got Heart?
It was a bit of a location jumping epic and I’m very excited to see the final result. I took a few pics from each location, which I’ll post up here and above.
You can download Luke’s last album, featuring HYGH, for free (or whatever you’d like to pay, a little generosity never goes amiss) here: http://lukeleighfield.bandcamp.com/
Tom took some killer photos at the ‘Have You Got Heart?’ video shoot. Here’s the first collection - more to come!
I did a photoshoot with Steve Broadbank back in summer 2008 and used a couple of the resulting shots for a long time. However, Steve took loads more lovely photos that have never been seen before and I thought it’d be nice to put them on Flickr for your consumption. So here they are.
New album recording video online now! This episode features a church, brass, strings, a choir and Kermit the Frog in a fetching red bra.

I just made a cheeky behind the scenes film about the demoing of my new album, New Season. Check it out to hear Matthew Reynolds sing like a girl, see me wearing a batman mask, and get a feel for urban life in Southampton. You’ll also be able to hear some rough snippets of the new songs.

My lady and I went to get our first ever tattoos this afternoon at BJ’s Tattoo Studio in Southampton (mine’s the wrist, Ruth’s is the ankle). BJ is the man. Before he opened a tattoo studio he was a session bassist and toured the world. He now does deep sea diving in quarries at the weekends, has loads of mad tattoos, and this afternoon was wearing a Rocky t-shirt. What a guy.
I finally feel like an actual proper rock star now that I have a tattoo.
Big up to Southampton’s Daily Echo for running a piece on my living room tour today. Sorry about the blurry photo. What a joyous night it was!

Luke Leighfield interview at The Joiners, Southampton - BLOOPERS!
…or alternatively you can just watch the bloopers, which mostly consists of Carl (my bassist) talking about paedophilia, admitting that he deals drugs, and revealing that he wants to bang the ginger one from Girls Aloud. Notice how my head is perpetually in my hands.
